I had never tasted even a drop of soymilk, almond milk,…whatever milk. Was a girl to always stick with the classic cow producing white stuff, until I got my coupons courtesy of BzzAgent for some free half-gallons. So I scooped up my coupons and headed to the supermarket. After arriving at the dairy case I was stuck with a slight problem, “which do I try first?!?!” I figured I would start with the traditional soy based milk but go for the light chocolate since I’m a chocoholic but like to watch my calorie intake. I grab my half gallon and take off for home. Immediately once I’m in the door I take out a glass and pour myself some. Looks like regular old chocolate milk…but how does it taste? Not bad! It’s a little watered down tasting but it’s honestly a great replacement for regular milk! I tried it in my coffee the next morning (see photo) and it was a delicious treat that I very much enjoyed. I definitely still favor regular milk over soy milk but this is a great substitute for a chocolate treat without being bad or for those that can’t tolerate lactose…this is a knight in shining armor!
Only 90 calories and about 2 grams of fat per serving…much better then the traditional old chocolate milk nutrition facts! It’s also sweetened with Stevia, which I also had yet to try until now.
I just used my other coupon for Silk Almond Milk so I will be reviewing that in the upcoming days.
