Cabo Recap

I have no words to describe how great my trip was--however it was absolutely fabulous.

Anyways here is the trip in a nutshell:

Day 1:
Left the Perry casa at approx 4:45am to catch the 7:00am flight to Chicago then from Chicago to Los Cabos International Airport. We arrive in Cabo at 12:30pm thoroughly excited. Did I mention I literally passed out on the flight to Chicago, unconscious and everything...yeah good times. I think it was from the excitement.

So we arrive at the Riu (our hotel) and check in and stuff our faces at the buffet then get into our rooms. They were beautiful and pretty big too. We then went to the pool and napped/drank /ate again. Called it a night pretty early since we were all beat from the traveling.

Day 2:
Beach Day.
Shell tried to find an umbrella for my pasty self and asked a local if we could borrow one of his..he replied No, this is my office. Many Mexicans call the beach their "office" apparently, which we couldn't stop laughing about the whole time.

Went to dinner at the Mexican restaurant which was so-so. We ventured our for the first time into downtown Cabo for the evening. Started out at Cabo Wabo which was a lot of fun and had a great cover band. Then we went over to El Squid Roe which is where the tourists/locals hang out. It is a shit show but a really fun time. We met a group of guys from Anaheim, CA which were a ton of fun. Of course the one that I fancied was soon to be a baby daddy. Oh yeah almost forgot --they try to make you take these awful Jello shots there which include a grab of each boob and a squeeze of the ass by the waitress. I did three--not paid for by me of course. :)
I think we got home around 4am...

Day 3:
Snorkel Booze Cruise.
So we wake up at 9:30 to get to the marina for our snorkel trip--hangover and all. We got to the marina a lil early so we walked around this market which was pretty cool. I made a new friend there...or should I say stalker who kept yelling Carolina and saying I looked like Barbie. ha ha

We get on the boat and are served fruit, rum cake and jungle juice while they pump out bob marley...it's 10:30am at the time. We drive about 45 min to the Santa Maria Bay where we snorkel for about an hour or so. Then we ate this awesome lunch of chicken, rice and beans on board the boat while heading to our next stop - El Arco. So beautiful. Then we swam around a lil more and headed back. We retreat to our usual stop at the pool for a nap/drinks/more food.

Later that night Dana realized she had a severe case of sun poisoning and had to call the doctor, so me and Shell went to the Japanese restaurant by ourselves for a romantic evening. It was some awesome food. The sushi was unbelievable.

Day 4:
Dana is feeling better after her injections in the buttocks of god knows what. Shell and I head into town for some shopping. We almost got us some tattoos but didn't find anythng we liked.
Did the usual Pool/drinking/food then headed to the Steakhouse for dinner. Met up with some kids from LA that's Lower Alabama for those that don't know! We then headed into town again to Cabo Wabo and Zoo bar. Met some guys from Chicago who all worked as investment bankers together. One of them fancied me for the evening... which is always nice. Always meeting people that live no where near me....

Day 5:
We leave the hotel at 11:30am to get to the airport for our 2:00 flight to Houston. While waiting in security we meet this dude who owns a few restaurants in New York City. He tells us that one of his chefs was on top chef and that his best friend just opened the water works in Philly. guess who i'm calling after i'm done culinary school! what what. so we get on the flight and are about to take off when there is a medical emergency and we have to go back to the gate. BOO. that takes about an hour or so to get the luggage and the dude off the plane. We finally take off totally realizing we are missing our flight out of houston to phila. We finally land in houston and find out the flight was delayed an hour so we didnt miss it. then is was delayed another hour then another...there was NO CREW to fly the plane. We finally leave at 9:45pm and arrive in philly at 2:15am.

i would totally do it again.
