babel

So last night I went out to a pre-screening of the movie Babel with 2 of my friends from work. I rarely go to the movies, b/c I'd rather rent them...but I can't turn it down when I get to go for free :o)

We had expected the movie to be a typical thriller type considering Brad Pitt was one of the main actors but none of us had any idea of what the movie was really about. Little did we know this was going to be 2 hours of being anxious, fearful and just plain out depressed. I don't want to write too much about it considering some may go to see it, but here is a link to the trailer.

I guess I would recommend going to see it to get a different perspective on life in foreign countries and see how the U.S. can be a major DICK to foreigners and how we are viewed in other countries. All in all I would say it was a good movie but I don't think I would want to watch it again anytime soon.
